Talk about rewarding! Arriving in style, clad with Santa and a fire truck, today put a big smile on the faces of many deserving little girls and boys. We handed out over 100 presents to these local children who are part of South Florida’s Kids In Distress. According to their website, their mission is to “prevent child abuse, preserve the family and treat children who have been abused and neglected.” To find out more about these precious little ones you can visit their site here @ www.kidinc.org.
This morning was such a joyous occasion and as we all get stressed with the holidays upon us, it was the perfect opportunity to be reminded of how lucky we actually are and to celebrate what the holidays are really about…spreading love and good cheer. Seeing all of the little smiles and faces filled with excitement is why my run for Mrs. Florida International is so important to me…it is personally so incredibly rewarding. I am the lucky one and it’s truly how I feel.
Though many people know zMotion as an organization synonymous with cycling, Executive Director Chris Hoch, pictured here below with me to your left, has this to say on the organizations site “zMotion was developed in an effort to become such a gigantic force within the community so that our collective voice would be heard. Being a part of zMotion is not just about cycling, enjoying great people and living a more fulfilling lifestyle; it’s about our philanthropic and advocacy work. zMotion has built a strong reputation as the club that contributes to foundations such as: The National MS Society, Kids in Distress, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Mystic Force Foundation, SBW’s Adopt-A-Bike, Dori Slosberg Foundation, just to name a few.
At the zMotion Foundation, it’s about giving more than we receive and challenging ourselves to make a bigger difference in our own lives, the lives of others and to never stop riding for a better tomorrow.” Click here to find out more www.zmotion.org. I know I speak on behalf of all us today, that we are wishing each and every one of you a very happy and healthy holiday season!
