This passed weekend I had the great honor of emceeing the Shuzz Art Fashion Show. The Shuzz Fund now in its fifth year is a non-profit organization that distributes shoes around the world to children in impoverished countries and here domestically to back to school and athletic programs.
The show took place at Mizner Park Amphitheater located in Boca Raton, FL where a cocktail party and VIP reception were a prelude to the big event. Attendees also saw a special performance by Cirque Dreams and then the fashion show itself presented by Neiman Marcus of Boca Raton featuring the Haute Hippie Spring 2015 Collection. This year alone the event is forecasted to bring in more than $250,000 for this special charity. All of the proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the relief efforts of Shuzz Fund. Evan Golden with Eye on South Florida was also in attendance and he put together a great piece featuring the event that you can see here 2015 V Annual Shuzz Art Fashion Show.
As Mrs. South Florida International I am continually humbled by the impact of many organizations like Shuzz Fund that set out to make a difference and do. Seeing the transformation in the lives of children affected by the goodness of others and their ability to help raise awareness for those in need validates my efforts on a daily basis. From Shuzz Fund to Safe Kids Worldwide and now my own endeavors with the CAP Challenge, though it may take time and dedication, I can tell you when you put your mind to it hard work really does pay off and giving back is all the gratification one needs to succeed.
