You don’t have to be brilliant, rich or famous to make a difference…you just have to care. My family and I took the time to mail out hundreds of anti bullying coloring books. In each one we put a personalized note and a whole lot of love. People may wonder if spending hours writing a different message on each coloring book was a good use of my time. My response – Absolutely!
The youth today need to know they matter. Taking the time to show love and protection is healthy in any setting. I may not be able to get out in the community during COVID but that doesn’t mean my message won’t be heard. I have enjoyed watching so many people in so many industries work creatively to get their message out. We are all seeing and utilizing digital technology more than ever. In some ways it’s great, but if you talk to a lot of parents, it may be a bit of an overkill for their kids. Finding the true harmony and balance in it all is what it’s about. The current numbers show around 70% of young people say they have seen bullying at school. That’s not balance. Change is needed. Let’s bring the change.
