This week I spent time at a Habitat for Humanity warehouse center. I went through donations coming in and saw first-hand the impact it had on local families. They come in to shop and find household needs at a fraction of the cost. According to the Palm Beach County’s Habitat for Humanity outreach site, “Habitat PBC is proud of the organization’s financial stability and stewardship of donor funds.”
The organization is happy to be transparent regarding the its finances which is more than motivating. This is all made possible through the support of volunteers. And, through the recycled mortgage payments Habitat PBC receives monthly, along with three retail outlets, the majority of funds raised goes directly to provide affordable housing services and initiatives.
Plus,I had the great pleasure of meeting with their regional manager! We made plans for a day out on the construction site…stay tuned, I am busy with so much more…
