With my husband Russ by my side along with our 3 children, last weekend was a very exciting time as the day I have worked so hard for over the past year came to fruition. The weekend entailed a great deal of preparation along with substantial interviews as judges worked hard to make a clear decision as to who would lead the Mrs. International competition into 2015. Humbled and honored to carry this title I was ecstatic to hear my name announced as your new Mrs. Florida International and cannot wait to see what the future will unfold. The pageantry world has shaped my life more than you probably realize. See, as a young girl I was often at times quite shy, even awkwardly so and through what seems like a lifetime now of being in pageants both on stage and behind the scenes, I am proud to say that my pageantry life has made me strong, confident and successful.
I am thrilled to spend the coming days and weeks serving you and the community as your Mrs. Florida International. I feel privileged to stand side-by-side Safe Kids Worldwide as a spokesperson for their organization and to help promote their cause in an effort to continuously raise awareness for preventable accidents amongst children. I am also eager to see CAP, Concussion Awareness and Prevention grow even larger than it is to help inform the public about the real dangers of concussions and the debilitating effects that can linger in all athletes and I overcome with graciousness to have such a stellar family supporting me along the way.
